Virgin Media and O2 merged in 2021. Launched during the pandemic the focus was delivering effective and engaging virtual and hybrid events across the newly formed business of 19,000 employees during a time of huge change, excitement and uncertainty for some. This included taking our exec team on a tour of all of our sites to meet 4,000 of our people at the end of 2021.In addition to my role at O2, we have picked up new partners including BAFTA delivering the first live TV Virgin Media BAFTA Awards event for 3 years in 2022.I've also supported our joint shareholder, Liberty Global, deliver events in Europe. The most recent event raising over £1m for their charity partner Street Child.

I create & deliver event experiences for O2 and our 23 million+ customers in the UK. This has included leading innovative events in partnership with the England Rugby Women's & Men's Teams, WIRED, Arsenal Football Club, Golf Live, Taste Festivals, TED talks and of course at The O2. Additionally I have worked on retail product launches with global brands such as Apple, Samsung and Nike. I have also played a key role in the success of O2 Priority, the largest digital loyalty platform in the UK, delivering unique experiences for our customers to ensure they love and stay with O2.Our parent company, Telefonica, does some big things too which I've led: Campus Party (Europe's Largest Tech Festival), Ambassadorial Events, community events for our Think Big programme and many others showcasing the best in tech both in the UK and across Europe.Enabling internal colleagues to be the best they can be is important part of what I do too so I manage and deliver a variety of events including conferences, team building events, workshops and award ceremonies for our 13,000+ employees.My role involves a range of exciting challenges - whether it be creating a unique VIP experience for our customers at Twickenham Stadium; managing music artists and professional sportspeople; organizing a two month roadshow or a 6 day, 10,000 person technology festival I'm usually in the thick of it!Hospitality and compliance is big part of what I do too. I play a key role in managing our ticketing assets, developing systems to manage these more effectively with our stakeholders and reporting on these to ensure we have a highly respected compliance culture.More recently I have gained vast experience in leading virtual and hybrid event experiences ensuring all our colleagues were effectively communicated to during the pandemic.

Leading the event management team and 200 brand ambassadors, the role has primarily been to successfully implement O2's sponsorship strategy for The O2 since its opened in 2007, mainly through brand experience (customer interaction and loyalty). This involved managing multi million pound assets and engaging with over 1m customers every year to provide an unrivalled experience via O2 Priority to make our customers love and stay with O2.I was also responsible for all our ticketing inventory at the venue, ensuring our 12,000 tickets were managed end to end across the 180 shows per year.I have also had the opportunity to work in partnership with prestigious brands to deliver music/sports events at the worlds most popular entertainment venue. This included the first launch event at the O2 in 2007 for 22,000 people.
