In March 2020, my wife and I re-located to Virginia Beach and my role in the church changed from pastor to pastor emeritus. I remain a pastoral elder active in Moscow church affairs weekly and my wife, Dr. Christine Currie and I continue to teach on Soul Care through several ministries of our local church here in South Hampton Roads. Christine has a counseling practice here in Virginia Beach.We moved to Moscow with our children in 1993. I traveled throughout European Russia teaching and preaching, then planted a church in 1995. My wife, Dr. Christine Currie, directed the counseling center at Russian-American Institute (RAI) in Moscow and operated a private counseling practice among ex-pats and Russians in Moscow. We both lectured in soul care and counseling at RAI and later at the Russian Orthodox Institute of St. John the Divine. We both have a long association with the Hinkson Christian Academy in Moscow. Earlier we lived in the Washington, DC, area where I served in an inner city ministry, completed graduate school, and worked at IBM as a financial analyst and software engineer. Specialties: Biblical preaching and teaching, pastoral counseling and teaching, non-profit and educational management: administration, finance, and international liaison. 2nd language: Russian.
