Utilizing presentation and facilitation skills, it is my responsibility to train entry-level Emergency Medical Technicians as they progress through my class in order to become a nationally registered EMS provider. Class sizes average thirty participants and each class is a minimum of 165 hours of instruction.

Contracted through Amphibious Medics to perform dive rescue and emergency medical operations for Red Bull Flugtag events. Serving as a vital team member on an incredibly small, six-person team that provides all water-based life safety operations leading up to and during the events.

Provide basic life support medical care and operate emergency response vehicles throughout the state of Maryland in fulfillment of commercial ambulance contracts.

Engineered performance and monitoring solutions using the HP product suite, including Operations Manager for Windows, OMi, Sitescope, BPM, RUM, and other software packages.

Developed production systems monitoring platforms using HP products Operations Manager, Business Availability Center, Server Automation, uCMDB, Business Process Monitor, Network Configuration Management, and custom scripting solutions.Worked as an Enterprise Operations Engineer for HP stationed at the United States Census Bureau, the largest data center in the world.

Developed production systems monitoring platforms using Solarwinds, HP Operations Manager, HP Business Availability Center (BPM, SiteScope, and BSM,) HP Systems Insight Manager, Splunk, and custom scripts/solutions in order to provide around-the-clock systems monitoring for corporate production and broadcast infrastructure networks.Assisted with troubleshooting network, servers, and storage for performance issues.Worked with all versions of Windows operating systems, OS X, Linux (mostly RHEL and CentOS,) HPUX, and Solaris, as well as ESXi and VMWare solutions.Worked with Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, and Routermate networking technologies.Developed monitoring solutions for Websphere, IIS, Apache, Citrix, SQL, Oracle, Exchange, and many other software implementations.Served as the primary point of contact whenever a new hardware or software implementation was being introduced into the environment. Engineered and administered TCP/IP network through upgrades of network switches (Cisco/HP mixed environment), SonicWall firewall, Cisco router, Cat5 to fiber to connect multiple administrative buildings, and implementations of multi-site VPN, Network Address Translation, retail systems database migration from AS400 to Microsoft SQL, GFI MailEssentials for Exchange, Windows Server 2003 and 2008, and multiple internal web servers.Administered Windows and Ubuntu Linux servers, Backup Exec, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Great Plains, Exchange 2003, Gallery Systems's The Museum System, ReDiscovery, Abra for Human Resources Management, Raiser's Edge, Microsoft SQL, Apache, Galaxy Access Control Systems, Windows Software Update Services, etc.; Developed reports and processes that allowed for constant monitoring of network services and security and notification of system errors or security threats.

Worked as the Windows and Exchange 2003 Network Administrator engineering, implementing, and supporting servers from multiple manufacturers which act as service and file servers to a client-base of approximately 8000 users across multiple sites. Worked with all Windows platforms, as well as some VAX and PeopleSoft versions 7.6 and 8.4.Became an expert withBackup Exec.

Hired to start up a new division focused on engineering and implementation of small office and home networks.Gained experience working with server systems on Microsoft, Novell, and Citrix platforms. Also worked on Cisco networking equipment.

Contracted support for Michelin North American IT support. Worked with Windows NT and XP with Novell Netware 4.60, mainframe, VAX, UNIX, Lotus Notes, Lotus ccMail, and VPN connections, as well as other server software. Supported Microsoft Office 97/2000/XP (Word/Excel/Powerpoint/ Frontpage/Access/Outlook. Also configured and trained on dial-up networking.
