Designed and developed a set of OpenLook Extension Widgets for the OpenLook Intrinsic Toolkit (OLIT). The extension widgets include the Main Window, File Selection Popup, Selection Popup, Command Popup, Menu Bar, Divider, Message Popups, and many utility and convenience routines.Develop Common Desktop Environment (CDE) Motif Performance Monitor application, help system and application resources. Designed and implemented a custom C++ object-oriented graphic interface library of over 300 objects for their enterprise application. The library architecture is separated into three distinct layers: Public, Common, and Platform. Port the software product INGRES/Windows 4GL, a user interface development programming environment, from OSF/MOTIF Toolkit to the OpenLook Intrinsic Toolkit (OLIT). The project consisted of approximately 50K of C interface code out of a total software system of 300K lines. (7/90 - 9/90)Port the INGRES/Windows 4GL product object-oriented GUI layer to OLIT Version 3.0. Design and develop custom OpenLook dialogs and extensive internal coding (6/92 - 10/92, ~60K lines).

Designed and developed graphic user interface objects and program modules for the Clarity Rapport product, including fax communication software and user interface to send, receive, and monitor fax jobs, as well as configure fax system settings. Designed MOTIF and OpenLook GUI objects used in the product, along with a DevGuide/GIL to MOTIF converter. Developed a MOTIF spot help facility to provide context-sensitive help.

The simulator user interface is built using X-Windows MOTIF, and features include user-controlled free flight, creating flight paths, flight animations, mouse-driven flight controls, VCR animation controls, and real-time USGS data displays. Designed a preprocessor for the 3-D Flight Simulator to transform raw USGS terrain data into a sampled set of ordered colored polygons.
