I support our national and international events by creating broadcast-quality, high-value video assets for our clients. I produce studio based projects and also film and edit on location, world-wide.

I provide the full range of filmmaking and videography services to businesses and organisations. Working to a brief I shoot and edit all interviews and cut aways needed for great short films for posting on social media, embedding in websites or for showing at corporate events. I've worked with Glasgow Caledonian University, the NHS, BBC, CNN, STV and more including charities.

Worked in a technical supporting role for BBC news programmes Reporting Scotland and the Nine. Provided filming, satellite uplinking, media ingest and gallery operation services.

Worked with journalists in a shoot / edit role using Sony DSR cameras, Avid editing from a Mercedes vehicle. I also worked as a video journalist. I was responsible for researching stories and presenting ideas to the daily producers and at commissioning meetings. I planned shoots with reference to the BBC's health and safety guidelines and the time available for travel, shooting and editing. I used the Sony DSR range of Sony production cameras plus the smaller Sony Z1, 5 and 7 cameras. I am a confident and creative lighting cameraman and can record sound with a range of microphones on location.

For 8 years I operated a custom built shoot/edit vehicle to produce news and features packages on location for BBC broadcast television. I used the Sony DSR range of production cameras and edited on Avid non-linear editing software. I operated cameras on recorded, news gathering operations and also worked with satellite trucks on live broadcasts including rigging and using radio cameras. A typical 10 or 12 hour shift might be working with a correspondent to shoot and edit the lead story then helping to rig and operate cameras for a live two-way including the broadcasting of the edited package before returning to shoot and edit updates in time for the next broadcast.I was responsible for using a wide range of television lighting equipment using my previous experience as a lighting electrician to safely deploy electricity from mains or generator supplies. I was also resonsible for recording sound using a range of microphones depending on the demands of the location and filming styles such as radio mics and shotgun mics.

Responsible for fault finding and the repair of low and medium voltage AC/DC equipment. Servicing motors and pumps including stripping down, assessing components for replacement or reconditioning, rebuilding and commissioning. Fault finding and field repairs to small and medium electrical appliances. Worked alone at customers location to effect reliable repairs in a timely manner.
