In software today, we're building the most complex systems that have ever been designed, and I think that's pretty cool.My recent professional experience has been focused on building large enterprise applications in Java -- specifically on the back-end parts that do the heavy computational lifting, and parts that connect to relational databases.My more fundamental interest is in the mental and technological tools that we use to manage the complexity of modern software projects. I'm always interested in new programming languages, new testing tools, and new techniques to study and control the behavior of the systems we're building.
