Markella is a BASI Pilates trained instructor/faculty and a dance specialist. She is a dance trained in ballet and contemporary techniques (Limon, Cunningham, release) with a BA in Dance Education and an MSc in Dance Science. Very enthusiastic to help dancers achieve their best performance potential, Markella works at the Healthcare Team at the Royal Ballet School, a multi-disciplinary team that works closely with the artistic team to deliver tailored conditioning programmes for the dancers. She also works at Central School of Ballet, she is member of the Medical and Wellbeing Team and provides conditioning support to the Foundation and Bachelor degree dancers. Markella follows the most current research to inform her teaching methodology and uses scientific methods to support her teaching practice.Faculty for BASI Pilates, she teaches the Mat and Comprehensive Teacher Training Certification, Dance Specialization course and workshops internationally.
