Mark is a law enforcement veteran of seventeen years and started his career with the Lee County Sheriff's Office Corrections Bureau. In corrections, he was a member of the corrections emergency response team & assisted the gang unit in identifying gang members. While working full-time, Mark attended the crossover academy to become a law enforcement officer. Mark left corrections & worked as a State Trooper with the Florida Highway Patrol. During his time with the Florida High Patrol, Mark gained experience working in numerous jurisdictions, dignitary protection details, criminal interdiction & the challenges of working alone, as backup was often far away. Mark was successful in his time with the Florida Highway Patrol but desired to work in a community setting. So, he was subsequently hired back with the Lee County Sheriff's Office in the capacity of a patrol officer. In Lee County Sheriff's Office, Mark developed a craft for seeking out criminal elements, more specifically, those involved with trafficking narcotics and human smuggling. Mark also developed an ability to establish a rapport with those within the neighborhoods, which led to an expansion in his knowledge of the community & tips with ongoing criminal activity.Mark is currently in the special operations unit. On the teams, Mark has served various high-risk warrants & responded to various high-risk callouts.
