An innovative program that matches young entrepreneurs with successful and hopeful NY start-ups, Loeb Enterprises provided an amazingly rich environment that opened my eyes to the intersections of tech into everything from beauty products to call centers. As an intern, I was the audience at Loeb Enterprises' headquarters for sponsored talks featuring experienced entrepreneurs that discussed a number of relevant and informative topics. Additionally, all interns would come together weekly to discuss their successes with supervisors and troubleshoot whatever challenges they may be facing within their respective start-up.Being randomly assigned to a portfolio company within the firm, I took responsibility for developing improvements for an early stage voice analytics addition to call center software. This required comprehensive competitive analysis where I created clear and detailed models from existing metrics, gained rudimentary knowledge of back-end tech to communicate software possibilities to HR, and combined the desires of both wings to successfully present my developments to the platform. I was responsible for traveling to the company’s headquarters in Virginia to lead focus groups with phone agents, conduct profit loss analysis between different active user interface models, and deliver holistic system suggestions to streamline the call center platform. At the end of my time, I presented the aggregate of my work to the CEO of the software company, the owners of the venture capitalist firm, and other senior members. My suggestions to their streamlined platform are still in use today.
