This high end transaction processing system is currently one of the fastest in the financial industry. Processing orders at over 30,000 a second and market data feed messages at over 150,000 per second on a single node. It has been tested by Microsoft at the Boston Microsoft Technology Center, and nominated as product of the year by Microsoft. Architected, developed, and implemented a real-time object oriented Electronic Commerce TCP/IP API interface using Microsoft Visual C++. During its first year it brought in over 50 million dollars. Re-architected Tech Data's Web site design to partition out the multiple service layers- User, Interface, Business, and Data. Worked mostly in the business services area building the application services under MTS, with ATL COM/DCOM, VB COM, ADO/RDO, SQL, Site Server, and all business services with complete Commit and Rollback ability. Interface layer consisting of ASP, JAVA Applets, Java Script, XML, and HTML. Supported Tech Data Online a TCP/IP Electronic Commerce client server based application. Modified the application from being a dial-up/leased line direct connect application to a web based application using Virtual Private Networking PPTP (Point to Point Tunneling protocol) saving the company 10 million a year, in leased line and 800 number costs. Architected, developed, and implemented, a new data driven n-tier system for processing and validating of Electronic insurance claims. The resulting system had the ability to receive in any format specification ANSI, HCFA, NSF etc. Thus resolving a limited and failing internal system.
