This includes system engineering, electrical design, schematic capture, board layout, design verification, documentation, manufacturing, test software and multi-threaded application software in C, interfacing to hardware through Windows drivers.● Electrical designs include a PCI based image capture board capable of capturing full Cameralink interface, six axes PCI motion control board, machine interface board, machine power panel with motor drives and system cabling.● Implemented drawing standards, part numbering, drawing control, assembly drawings, BOMs, and MRP system for inventory control and manufacturing procurement requirements.● Electrical designs incorporate PCI interfaces, motion processors, motor drivers, analog and digital sensors, PLL clock circuits, LVDS, FIFOs and extensive use of FPGAs and EPLDs implemented using Verilog.● Assisted laboratory production groups in solving problems using scientific methods, implementing process control and standardize materials and processes.● Tools include Microsoft Visual Design Studio, Orcad schematic capture, PADs PowerPCB layout and route, Leonardo Spectrum and Altera Quartus FPGA tools, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio and limited exposure to Pro/E Wildfire.
