One of the biggest challenges was dealing with the large scale of the data (financial calculations on hundreds of thousands of commissions). My responsibilities included developing the JEE application, extending the Oracle PL/SQL calculations engine, optimizing the application, the SQL queries, and the PL/SQL procedures as well as some customer requirements analysis and documentation creation.
