Project Manager/Environmental Geologist
Environmental consulting professional with over 30 years experience helping clients with their environmental issues. A results oriented professional listening to client needs to help them make informed business decisions. Expertise performing peer review services, evaluation of emerging contaminant issues, environmental management services for construction and decommissioning, risk based corrective action, the evaluation of subsurface soil, groundwater, and vapor conditions for property transactions, RCRA investigations, natural gas industry compressor and meter station mercury evaluations, landfill groundwater and gas post closure monitoring, gasoline station decommissioning, water supply studies, and leaking UST investigations and remediation.Examples:1. Dairy Processing Facility Proposed Purchase, North Dakota: Existing consultant recommended $200,000 of remediation. Hired to perform peer review. Noted hydrogeologic conditions were not interpreted correctly. Obtained North Dakota regulatory agency approval of environmental due diligence without need for remediation saving client $200,000.2. Industrial Facility Proposed Purchase, Indiana: Retained to perform peer review of prior Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) where lending institution would not provide financing due to suspected insufficient evaluation. Peer review indicated not all recognized conditions had been evaluated including a conveyor tunnel that had an oily floor. By identifying and evaluating the missing RECs for further evaluation, client was able to obtain their financing.3. Identification of Residential Heating Oil Underground Storage Tank, Michigan: Resident of a home constructed in the early 1900s was unable to sell their property due to the potential for a heating oil underground storage tank (UST). Observed exterior and basement conditions that indicated potential for a UST to remain. Using the observations, owner was able to provide data needed for sale.0
