In the December 2006 and 2007 editions of On Wall Street magazine, he was listed among the country’s “Top Advisors Under 40.” Along with Ed Blumenthal, Mark received Janney’s 2007 “Financial Consultant Award of Excellence,” the Firm’s highest honor, for outstanding dedication and commitment to clients. He holds Series 7, Series 63 and Series 65 licenses, as well as Pennsylvania Life, Health and Disability Insurance licenses.Mark is a member of the Board of Trustees of Abington-Jefferson Health, and Past-Chair (2015-2018) of Abington Health's Business Council. Mark also served (2018-2021) on the Investment Sub-Committee of Thomas Jefferson University. He also served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Abramson Senior Care (formerly the Madlyn & Leonard Abramson Center for Jewish Life), and a Director of the Federation Endowments Corporation of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, where he served on its Estate Planners Advisory Committee. Mark was a member of the Board of Managers of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC and its Profit Sharing Plan Committee, and served as President of the 850-member Philadelphia Estate Planning Council (2012-2013). Mark has appeared as a guest on a national radio program regarding financial and investment matters (“The Jean Chatzky Show”), and has written and been quoted in articles on financial matters in various local and national publications. Prior to joining Janney, Mark practiced business and health care law, primarily with the law firm of Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll LLP (1993–1998). He is a licensed member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bars, although he no longer practices law.
