Oversee & lead a team of 18 individuals in the Financial Reporting department. Ensure accurate preparation & timely filing of mutual fund financial statements and SEC regulatory filings (N-SAR, N-Q, N-1A, N-MFP, 24F-2). Lead the design & implementation of Financial Reporting departmental policies, procedures and internal controls.Chair the ALPS Disclosure Control and Procedures Committee, a cross functional Committee tasked with maintaining controls and procedures over all SEC Filings.Lead technical accounting updates related to new accounting standards and industry changes.Train and develop the Managers and Supervisors in the department.Provide expertise to Fund Controllers, Legal Counsel & Clients with regards to new fund launches, conversions, mergers, liquidations and other technical reporting issues.Design a modular training system for development of staff at all levels.
