My experience in real estate stems to 1998 while attending college at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN. I received my auctioneers license at the age of 19 and later obtaining the Affliliate Broker's license at the age of 20. I worked in this field for approximately two (2) years leaving only to finish college. Currently I am a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the state of Tennessee. I have approximately fifteen (15) years experience in this profession appraising both residential and non-residential use properties. I opened Mark Evans & Associates in 2006 after passing all state requirements and receiving my appraiser license. The primary purpose of Mark Evans & Associates is to provide high quality appraisals to clients such as lending institutions, attorneys, governmental agencies, and individuals. In 2007 I joined in the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers (NAIFA) working and receiving my IFAS designation in February 2008 at the age of 29, the youngest in NAIFA history to do so. Working within these professional organizations have provided valuable experience beyond appraisals. I have served in multiple leadership positions at a chapter and national level. This includes national director, marketing committee chair, secretary, and chair for a task force charged with leading the merger between NAIFA and the American Society of Appraisers, which was completed in July 1, 2018.
