The last 15+ years have seen Mark work to merge Data Science and Mechanical Engineering using AI ML (including GenAI/OpenAI/ChatGPT and other technologies) and IoT, innovating various types of AI-empowered mechanical solutions, including drones (rotary, fixed-wing, land, and water surface and under surfrace) as intelligent (autonomous) remote-sensing platforms including image processing... For over 10 years Mark has worked in the field of Collaboration Empowerment, specializing in Collaboration/SharePoint Technologies. Mark’s initial background & experience were in engineering, with a BS in Aerospace Engineering, a first MS(abt) in Robotics, and later a second MS in Computer Science/AI. After college Mark spent 3+ years as a Professor of Mathematics in the US Peace Corps (Cameroon, West Africa). After the Peace Corps, Mark worked as an engineer at Argonne National Lab. During that tenure Mark earned his second MS degree, and entered the wild world of IT consulting…While initially advancing from the bottom-up (developer, lead developer, team lead, etc), Mark quickly jumped to Principal-level roles, and ever since has endeavored to continue expanding his technical skillset while also augmenting his project management/leadership skillset.Mark's deep technical experience, "big picture" vision, pragmatic best practices and engaging presentation style have made him a popular speaker at local and regional Collaboration and SharePoint-focused events in the midwest. From his experience & knowledge he has also developed numerous best practices and methodologies.
