I’m an entrepreneur who has been investing in innovative companies and growing businesses for more than three decades.In the 1990’s I founded Aquila Capital Partners, to back talented founders creating transformational companies. Among those early investments was Argo Group (NYSE:ARGO), in the specialty underwriting sector. When I became CEO of Argo in 2000, it was a regional, $300 million underwriter nearing insolvency. Fast-forward twenty years – and after one hell of a journey – Argo became a thriving public company, with 10 times more revenue, clients in 60 countries, and thousands of new jobs created. Today, I’m fully dedicated to Aquila. We take a collaborative approach to investing in promising entrepreneurs building companies that will shape the world for generations to come.
