My insurance career started in 1979 when, from school, I joined a local High Street Broker. After a slight change of direction as a Loss Adjuster, I developed my interest in Commercial Insurance, focussing on the needs of businesses of all types and sizes, across a wide variety of professions and industry sectors.In 1996, having achieved my ACII qualification, I joined EFM as a Director with a prime focus on developing the General Insurance Division and the delivery of quality insurance solutions to Commercial and Profession clients and to High Net Worth individuals. After 26 years, in March 2022, the EFM general insurance division of EFM was acquired by Merenda & Company where I joined as Managing Director and from when the business traded as “EFM Merenda”.In August 2023, Merenda & Company (as part of HCF group of companies) was acquired by Clear Insurance Group and from 1st April 2024, the business of EFM Merenda has completed full integration to Clear Insurance Management.The business continues to be based near Southend on Sea with a team of dedicated and experinced staff.As Account Director, my responsibilities include the management and development of the business and to ensure the provision of a consistently high quality of advice and care to our varied and valued client base.Our objective is to continue to develop long term professional relationships by providing consistent, customer-focused service and value to our clients.
