About Mark Ferguson

I’m proud to have dedicated the last 15 years to Very Own Studio. It’s been a journey! Today the practice reflects my own values and love of design more than ever. I could wax lyrical about my education and my 20+ years experience as an award-winning designer and teacher. But I know there’s always more to learn and my qualifications aren’t what makes Very Own Studio unique.I founded Very Own Studio because, at heart, I want to make things better. Nothing brings me more joy than helping a client realise their potential. Or bringing abandoned treasures back to life - from a classic car, to a discarded guitar, to that once-wilted plant in the corner of the studio.I’m loyal to people, not to ideas. I have an unwavering commitment to our clients and the amazing team I work with. Everything about Very Own Studio is deliberate, well-reasoned and puts people first.In the wild-west of gone-tomorrow design fads, template-temptation and buzz-word bingo, my work is thorough, authentic and trend-resistant. I don’t shoehorn in widgets or worn-out phrases. I don’t paper over cracks. And I won’t just tell you what you want to hear. But I do always try to do the right thing and reflect the best of you.
