Infrastructure manager of a IT O&I team dealing with 3rd line system issues, and maintaining all company server, san, firewall, networking and VMware systems.

Member of a shift based 3rd line server support team. The team operated 24/7/365, supporting 1500 servers spread across London Docklands and Gloucestershire data centers. Investigate alerts raised by IBM Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring system for managed servers. Respond to new tickets logged by managed clients in accordance with SLA agreements. 1st/2nd/3rd Level troubleshooting of Microsoft server/IIS/Active Directory/Terminal services and Exchange/SMTP email problems. Replace faulty hardware on HP and IBM server platforms. 1st Level Linux server troubleshooting. Monitor backup events on the IBM Tivoli backup system. Quality Assurance testing on any new server builds before the servers are handed over to new clients. Liaise with Security and Communication teams in order to get 3rd Level connectivity issues resolved.

Member of the 3rd line Microsoft support team working in the managed server section of the company.
