Eton is an IB school in Mexico and one of the top 3 international school in the country. As a humanities teacher for both the MYP and DP program I was responsible for developing and delivering quality lessons for the following grades and subjects: 8thgrade – History, Civics & Ethics, 9th grade – Current Affairs, 10th grade – World Religions. In addition, I was the CAS director for MYP. Vietnam

NDL is a private language center in an upscale area of Vietnam. This position was responsible for all teaching aspects for classes ranging from kindergarten to teens. As the senior teacher at a new center my additional duties included: writing schemes of work, creating end of course evaluation standards, writing placement tests, teacher and teacher assistant training, planning and execution of marketing events, and other duties expected of a senior teacher.

Apollo English is the largest language training corporation in Vietnam. I was responsible for all aspects of the student’s learning. Classes included: kindergarten, young learner general English, primary and high school in the public school system. I was also enrolled in the senior teacher program where I received training and experience with: organizing resources, training sessions, syllabus development, staff inductions, new teacher mentoring and observations.

China

Disney English is an English academy in China for kindergarten aged students run by The Walt Disney Corporation. Responsible for all aspects of the class such as lesson planning, preparing materials, and conducting student assessments. Other responsibilities include giving demo classes, parent/teacher meetings, and communicating students progress to their parents.rents

South Korea

Taught English to elementary aged students. Responsibilities include: creating syllabi, preparing lesson plans, teaching courses, grading essays, administrating tests, and writing monthly evaluations. High emphasis on classroom management and effective use of limited time. English subjects taught included: grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, pronunciation, listening, and critical thinking.

Complete oversight of the daily operations of the Loss Prevention department at a 358 room downtown hotel and all matter pertaining to safety, security, and risk management for the hotel. Responsible for the training and motivating of the officers in the department. Responsible for the investigation of all matters pertaining to guest and associate loss and injuries. Chairman of the Safety Committee which consists of the members of the hotel’s executive committee and line level associates who meet with the goal of minimizing losses accrued by improper safety standards and discussing better practices. Work closely with Human Resources to maintain legal compliance of OSHA standards and proper investigation and documentation of work place injuries. Responsible for the training and documentation of all hotel staff in regards to safety issues such as CPR training and emergency preparedness.

Independent contractor for the World Vision Experience Africa Tour held at the Puyallup Fair during the month of September. Responsibilities included the set-up and tear-down of the exhibit, and assisting in the management of the Tour during the duration of the Puyallup Fair. Management of the exhibit includes the following: daily training of all volunteers, helping guests through the exhibit, showing a video which displays the work that World Vision conducts in Africa followed by a discussion with the guests and invitation to sponsorship, answering any questions about World Vision, and making regular rounds of the exhibit to ensure that everything is functioning properly.

Event coordinator for the World Vision Experience AIDS tour at the Microsoft campus. Developed and implemented a volunteer program in support of the Workplace Giving Department. Program included the development of its operation, the creation of an operations manual, and the training of numerous volunteer staff to implement the program. Created tools for corporate reps in support of the marketing effort.

Responsible for the overall management and operation of the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort, a 90 acre, 585 suite resort in the absence of the General Manger. Responsibilities include the training of new team members and maintaining the morale of existing team members. Daily duties consist of checking all of the hotels departments and addressing any challenges that may arise. The day is spent in constant customer interaction with a high emphasis on customer service and service recovery.

Managed all administrative and logistical operations for the church and the property. Daily duties included financial spreadsheets, supply ordering, assisting the pastor with spiritual matters in the congregation, and the creation & implementation of more efficient office procedures.

Due to my knowledge of the business, leadership skills and motivational techniques by the time I left it had become one of their best accounts.
