Selected for an expanded role to lead operations for a $228M inpatient/outpatient clinical services group, which included 2 hospitals, 14 offsite ambulatory facilities, and 6 on-campus OP centers. Managed all aspects of the organization, including strategic planning, operations, P&L management/budgeting, patient recruitment, talent acquisition, and culture building. Provided budgets to department leaders, regularly reported variances, and held leaders accountable for financial commitments. Championed process improvement, contracting, patient care, and employee engagement initiatives to bolster the P&L, create a productive culture, and optimize the patient experience. Served on the senior leadership team and led a team of 250 employees across 10 departments.

Accepted an expanded role to lead operations for a physician network (22 practices and 70 physicians) across Neurosurgery, Cardiology, Vascular/Thoracic, Trauma Surgery, Medical and Radiation Oncology, Orthopedic Surgery, Gastroenterology and Psychiatry specialties. Recruited physicians and residents to the network, executed employment agreements, and thoroughly on-boarded new hires. Developed revenue-boosting initiatives and managed a team of 22 professionals who helped the organization execute effectively. Established quality standards used in bonus plans, designed/implemented standards of practice, and built the organizational structure for the Specialty Care Services group.

Recruited to lead a team of 28 professionals who provided operational, patient service, facilities, revenue cycle, and cultural support to 5 outpatient clinics and teaching facilities where the underserved and uninsured population of Dayton, Ohio were provided care. Developed strategic plans that maximized P&L performance, delivered exceptional patient care, streamlined processes, and optimized resource utilization. Created and implemented professional practice standards for quality of care, professional staff development, policies and procedures, and evidence-based practices within Grandview’s ambulatory residency training programs. Routinely assessed employee morale and deployed action plans that increased engagement.

Recruited to open a new 67-bed long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) and drive business development, financial management, patient services, physician recruiting, and culture-building activities. Spearheaded initiatives instrumental in the successful launch of the facility, including medical staff recruiting, negotiating outside service contracts, establishing transfer agreements with local hospitals, and formation of a cohesive executive team. Led all aspects of the hospital, including marketing/business development, quality, nursing, HR, and finance.
