Support Worker – Norwood, Ravenswood Village Support Worker responsible for the wellbeing of adults with learning disabilities enabling them to live the best possible life. Working with family members, the Work Skills team, the Sports and Leisure team, employers and other professionals to develop the independence, skills and wellbeing of residents and provide person centred support.• Nominated as a shift leader responsible for allocating staff to complete tasks and ensure a high level of support. • Ensuring that the relevant documentation and records are completed to ensure quality care for residents and that Norwood is compliant with legislation.• Selected as Health and Safety representative. Promoting the importance of Health & Safety. Developing the Health & Safety processes.• Selected to work within the management team of a care home which was being closed. Over a two year period supported residents to transition to new homes and motivated the staff team during this challenging time. • Selected for an additional role as a Moving and Positioning Trainer. Instructing and demonstrating safe and legal techniques to a wide range of Norwood employees.• Supported residents to complete trekking and cycling challenges in Nepal and Tanzania.

Selected to establish a strategic approach for Supplier Management and manage a team of 3 to support this initiative. Liaised with supplier managers, stakeholders, customers and third party suppliers to ensure consistent and cost effective relationship management across a diverse range of suppliers and services. • Created and managed a best practice system for managers of third party suppliers which resulted in 28% efficiency savings measured in terms of time spent by support teams on supplier management and relationship issues. • Designed and implemented an on-line Supplier Perception Survey which resulted in savings of £1m per annum following reductions in budget spent with suppliers, more efficient hardware solutions, and the identification of services which could be delivered more effectively in house.

Appointed to transform a team responsible for the delivery and support of personal computer solutions to customers across the UK, an estate of 3500 desktops and 1700 laptops. Created and implemented a robust task management, planning and scheduling system which enabled the team to balance business demands and achieve all KPI’s. Founded a forum to improve the flow and quality of incident information which improved customer service and increased the number of first time fixes completed by the Service Desk.Also responsible for the Moves Adds and Changes team which completed over 3500 change requests for computer and telephony moves, additions and changes per annum. • Transformed the performance of an 8 man PC support team at Yell Ltd. Performance increased from meeting targets 40% of the time to 97% of the time, exceeding the contractual target of 90%. Within a year the team was nominated by customers, senior management and peers for a business award for outstanding team work. • Winner of a business wide award for Inspirational Team Leadership presented by the CEO of Yell Ltd. Nominated by peers and team members.

Responsible for the successful completion of IT infrastructure projects with budgets up to £2m. Built strong relationships with stakeholders and internal customers at all levels to ensure clear and timely communication of business objectives and management of expectations. Managed project teams made up of members from IT, other business functions and external suppliers to build collaboration and efficiently deliver business requirements.• At Yell created and managed project plans to ensure the successful completion of over 500 office reorganisations throughout the UK including the provision and relocation of IT services into 7 new regional offices.

Contributed to the introduction of computing systems throughout the business including cabling, hardware configuration and the set-up of the first IT Helpdesk.Managed the implementation of IT services into new buildings as Yell expanded.
