Partner at Gray Puksand, registered architect and leader of our national education strategy and Victorian Education sector. Over two decades experience in planning, designing and realising innovative learning environments, I have worked to build, and develop our team of architects and interior designers. This has positioned our practice, expertise and team at the forefront of informed educational design that delivers enduring and agile education infrastructure.Through my role as Victorian Education Sector Leader, I have been instrumental in working with our practice leads to collaboratively to develop our Victorian project portfolio, with expertise and capability across a diverse range and scale of education facilities. Our learning environments are realised through engaging briefing and design processes, through methodologies which focus on listening, understanding, filtering, synthesising, innovating and creating. Through infrastructure across Primary, Secondary, Vocational and Higher Education sectors, I have expertise in stakeholder engagement, development of educational facility briefs, functional planning and architectural design. This expertise has been attained through delivery of adaptive re- use and regeneration projects, new facilities and campuses, and large scale infrastructure programmes.Through projects such as the Stage 2 redevelopment of Chisholm Institute's Frankston Campus, masterplanning and design of the multi stage Darul Ulum Academy, revitalisation of The Gordon's Culinary Centre in Geelong, the award winning Centre for Advanced Design in Engineering Training (CADET) for Deakin University, the recently completed Prahran High School, the award winning Wyndham Tech School and two decades of infrastructure delivered for the Victorian School Building Authority, my experience in master planning, brief development, design and project delivery is diverse and comprehensive. I am a member of Learning Environments Australia and have served two terms as a Victorian Chapter committee member. As an industry mentor I participate in the Melbourne School of Design Student Mentoring programme, lead our national graduate programme and regularly present our collective learning environment knowledge at conferences, both nationally and internationally.
