Gobike is a Danish start-up company that has developed a world-class bike-sharing system. The system is already implemented in Copenhagen and is now to be rolled out worldwide.The solution is a new generation system based on a bike incorporating among other a tablet PC, a battery pack, e-bike motor and other unique features. The tablet PC will be used for managing basic functions linked to renting bikes as well as for other end-user features such as navigation, information, sweet deals, etc. The tablet PC will be fully integrated with a backoffice system and other online services like GPS tracking, traffic planning, tourist information, etc. Gobike offers a new mode in public transport that provides tourists, citizens and especially commuters an easy and seamless way to be transported the so-called “last mile”.
