The Sydney Metro/Northwest Rail link project was awarded to Salini Impregilo by the NSW Government to design and construct a 4 km skytrain section between Bella Vista and Rouse Hill including a landmark cablestay bridge over Windsor Road at Rouse Hill which, now constructed, is the third largest curved cable stayed bridge, built over a highway. Kenny Constructions were appointed as a sub-contractor by Salini Impregilo.My Role: I was heavily involved with manufacturing the precast segments, cast in-situ piers, headstocks and abutments. to manufacture the precast segments and also to install the precast segments on site. I specialised in concrete works including formwork, concrete pouring, concrete stressing, concrete remedial works, working in confined spaces and working at heights on an 800-tonne, 200m long, steel gantry that shadowed over the skyrail viaduct bridge construction.• Awarded Global Project of the Year by a Prestigious International Engineering Organisation.• Built in accordance to NSW B80 Concrete Work to Bridges Specification.• The video attached illustrates exactly the cable-stayed section of bridge I worked on. I estimated value of works and undertook tender analysis of competitive tenders returns, I estimated costs for repair and maintenance project work using BCIS.• Measured and Condition Surveys - I was involved in undertaking stock condition surveys of over 100 properties for Guildford Borough Council. I also undertook various measured surveys for refurbishment & change of use projects.• Monitoring Works - I regularly monitored progress works for a gym / changing room refurb project and cladding works at King Alfred Leisure Centre, Hove.
