Four short decades have elapsed since God placed me on this path. Before I even knew where I was going or what I would be doing, my story was foreshadowed by coloring books, special art projects in grade school, a speech at an assembly in junior high, and hours in the high school art department and creating the prom backdrops.College taught me the fundamentals and principles of visual communications—typography, design, advertising and branding. Being selected for the honors design studio toughened my skin and hardened my will to change the world, but boy I had much to learn. Over the years, my passion for the business has grown thanks to a handful of mentors, clever colleagues, and challenging clients. I have been blessed to work with positive influencers and leaders throughout my career and life.As creative director, I spearheaded the adoption of Apple computers into the agency. That was 1989 and no small feat. A few years later, I spurred the move from departments and offices to dedicated teams and a collaborative work environment. It was a time of evolution and our efforts were recognized on the national level when B-T-B Magazine listed us as one of the top 25 US agencies.Flash forward—beyond the executive titles and advertising awards—I helped to stop riverboat gambling from coming to the Ohio River town where I was born. I boosted the reputation of a hospital system and I’m trying to do the same for a public school system. I also helped to achieve three consecutive years of record growth for a top 100 US airport and launched branding campaigns beyond our US borders. Today, my days are spent setting strategy, working plans, curating content, and shaping and sharing organizations' brand narrative. But, my story doesn’t end there. I still enjoy coloring outside the lines to create disruptive and compelling creative work backed by best practices and a history of orchestrating impactful brand communications.My life work includes campaigns for Agilent Technologies, Diamond Chain, Firestone Industrial Products, Henny Penny, Hill-Rom, Maple Leaf Farms, Roche, Sallie Mae, Spectral Diagnostics, Tokhiem and WaterFurnace.Other clients—past and present—are Ameriana Bank, Averitt Express, Britt Airways, Community Health Northwest Florida, Escambia County Public Schools, Franciscan Health, Illinois Power, Indiana Soybean Alliance, Kentucky State University, Peaden Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electrical, Pensacola International Airport, Texas A&M University, University of West Florida and Vincennes University.
