Proud to have led and directed the most successful long running committee in AmCham's history. Over the course of 10 we invited most of the leading environmental voices, activists, leaders to speak to the Committee, on a monthly basis, about the important issues facing this country. We combined forces as a Committee to initiate and develop, with the driving assistance of then Asst Minister Roko Andricevic of the Environmental Ministry, the first and only Environmental Management Studies post graduate program in Croatia now part of the University of Zagreb.

Plasma Cornaro continued its work to propagate the environmental advantages of high temperature gasification of waste over modern combustion technologies, concentrating of the leading plasma gasification technology from Westinghouse Plasma Corporation, owned today by Alter NRG out of Canada (http://www.alternrg.com/).

Plasma Cornaro was formed in Split Croatia to offer to the national, regional, and local governments in Croatia the superior technology of plasma arc high temperature gasification from Westinghouse Plasma Corporation of Pennsylvania, USA for the remediation of Municipal Solid Waste.

The Environmental Committee at AmCham was pivotal in initiating the EMS program in Croatia. It was the first and only post graduate program in environmental management in Croatia and offered specialized degrees and doctoral degrees in condensed short course periods for working students in facilities in Dubrovnik and in Zagreb. I personally brought the idea to scores of high ranking politicians and influential academics for over 2 years until I reached the office of vice minister of the environment ministry, Dr. Roko Andrićević, who was invaluable in building the founding Steering Committee and creating the EMS program, ultimately accepted by the University of Zagreb.

Elected and served, as a volunteer, the full four year term on the AmCham Board in Zagreb, the final year as Board President.
