In this position, I work with the Honors Program faculty and a team of other interns to plan events with professors and students. This includes weekly meetings to discuss the logistics of academic forums as well as social events for students. I also engage with prospective students in recruitment events that involve reaching out over the phone and email.

In the spring semester of sophomore year, I campaigned for Vice President of the student body and was given the honor of leading the school in this way. I was responsible for holding weekly meetings with subcommittees that listen to other students and work with their desires to make the school better as well as took meeting minutes for our bi-weekly "all-team" meetings. After these meetings, I sent an email to the entire undergrad population and updated them on subcommittee changes and goals.

Responsible for various excel and google earth-based tasks regarding county roads and bridges including planning and prep for future projects. Placed traffic counts for data collection and recorded these values into the county records. Performed QA/QC on various chip seal and asphalt overlay projects during the summer.

In this position, I was responsible for helping the project engineers and superintendents with anything they needed. This involved heavy use of Bluebeam Revu to send drawings, submittals, and plans between coworkers as well as other companies. I also had the opportunity to engage with the entire RFI process using Procore's online service with questions often originating from daily QA/QC site walks I would perform. This experience gave me ample opportunity to engage with weekly and daily coordination meetings as well as learn many skills in coordinating with coworkers and other companies.

During this job, I was responsible for moving large amounts of HVAC material into a developing building and read/interpreted installation plans to install the correct pieces in the correct orientation.
