We’re living in a fascinating time for financial services where two trends dominate and often converge. Large, established companies are consolidating market share, yet we also have disruption of traditional business practices by start-ups and FinTech. My skills lend themselves as easily to the consolidators as to the upstarts. My career has focused on working successfully with two primary groups, financial services firms and capital providers. I leverage relationships with key decision makers to forge productive partnerships and drive top-line growth and expansion. I have an intuitive sense for business opportunity and commercial success - a “nose for business”. Although most of my career has been in investment banking, I “cut my teeth” in family businesses and have always taken an owner’s attitude toward my work. I’ve had success transforming challenged enterprises and taking them to the next stage of their evolution. In one case, I started a new U.S. group for an established international bank. As a global advisor, I have guided corporate boards and senior management on strategy and finance. I have helped my clients raise more than $50B in the capital markets. I think of myself as someone who knows what I know, and - equally importantly - what I don’t know. My success has been achieved through managing great people and strong processes, and less through flashes of brilliance. I develop a plan and execute on it. I identify and leverage individual talent and lead by example with integrity, a tireless work ethic and attention to detail.
