Mark Gomes is the CEO of Pipeline Data, LLC. He founded the company in 2004 to provide investment consulting to several of America's top hedge funds and mutual fund companies. His methodology revolves around identifying net changes, opportunities, and misconceptions in the marketplace. By utilizing proprietary metrics and an extensive network of IT industry contacts, Gomes has built an enviable reputation for discovering low-risk / high reward situations.He has over 20 years of equity research experience and has held a number of key positions within leading IT research and consulting organizations. He began his career at International Data Corporation where he led its buy-side investment research practice. More recently, he served as the Director of Investment Research at AMR Research, a globally-recognized IT advisory firm (later acquired Gartner Group). There, he drove the business unit's expansion into a multi-million dollar operation, serving over 100 Wall Street institutions during his tenure.In addition to overseeing Pipeline Data, Mark Gomes is a U.S. National Masters Track & Field Champion and world-record holder. He was once nationally ranked in several events and represented Team USA with a 4th place finish at the 2011 Masters World Track & Field Championships.He also released a book entitled Faster Than Forty, detailing the diet, lifestyle, training techniques, and other physiological manipulations that enabled his return to Track & Field competition after a 13-year hiatus.Gomes has since retired from Track & Field and semi-retired from the business world.
