I am Mark Gonzales, a founder with over 25 years of experience in communications, strategy, and public affairs. I work at the intersection of sustainability, culture, and technology, exploring how creative solutions can address the most pressing challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.As a Founding Partner of The New Medina, I lead an intergenerational initiative to preserve and revive the ancient cities of the world, starting with the UNESCO World Heritage medina of Sousse in Tunisia. We create spaces and programs that foster social, economic, and environmental resilience, such as residencies, a culinary lab, an agri-tech bar, and an incubator for local futures. As a Solutions Designer at Wage Beauty, I trained communities in storytelling for impact, design thinking, and trauma and growth foundations in 15+ countries. I coached thousands of youth and educators, using language to reshape their beliefs and actions. During my Visiting Professorship at Stanford University, I taught and researched how pedagogy, creativity, and civilizational wisdom could be leveraged for social change and innovation.
