I have been in cybersecurity my entire life. It started at school when I found that the network of BBC Micro computers was sending admin passwords in plain text. I have been a trusted cyber advisor to many businesses for many years.- implemented cyber compliance programs in small and large businesses, including banks and multinational law firms.- ISO27001 lead auditor- defined and implemented cyber policy and metrics- authored academic papers- taught at undergraduate and postgraduate levels on information security, penetration testing, Cisco CCNA and CCNP, and network forensics- Blackhat training courses- Master in Network Security- PhD in detecting malware (in particular botnets) in limited volumes on network data traffic. Following my PhD, I left academia to co-found ZORB Security. ZORB has been a channel for me to apply the leadership, commercial and technical skills I've acquired over almost 40 years. At a personal level, ZORB is about democratising cyber security. All too often I've found that vendors are only really interested in working with the rich top few thousand global businesses. Vendors neglect millions of smaller businesses, for which their business data is just as important to them as it is to the top multinationals. All businesses, regardless of size or location have the right to store and transmit their data without compromise.
