Designed and implemented in C++ a new daemon that acts essentially as a gateway between the company's core security product and a third-party access control platform, utilizing the third-party's drivers and APIs to facilitate downstream communication. The daemon is highly integrated with S2's core PostreSQL database.

Provided specific expertise regarding SMS messaging as it related to MediaFriends' products, including researching SMSC alternatives and software development in C++.

C++ Server development for the leading Free Directory Assistance service provider, 1-800-FREE411. Developed enhancements to the ad targeting engine and backend data serving components.Ruby development for core components of the system including an SMPP layer for information delivery via SMS to callers' handsets. Designed and implemented a distributed architecture for handling in excess of sixty thousand outbound SMS messages via SMPP daily, replacing a system that was neither distributed nor scalable.Developed Ruby-based web APIs for internal and external use.Managed internal cross-functional and external partner relationships to accomplish engineering and business goals.

My work included all aspects of design, implementation and maintenance of these servers, working independently and in small teams.
