CurrentResponsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of Compellent enterprise Storage Area Networks, Windows Server farms, VMware ESXi, Backups, Disaster Recovery, and Active Directory, Barracuda Load Balancers'/firewalls, Barracuda SPam filters and Archivers..• Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the San Diego City Employees’ Retirement System IT infrastructure managing 100+ Servers 7/24/365.• Successfully migrated over 100+ computer systems from Windows 2003 to Windows 2016 on HP Compaq Proliant DL and Blade servers and VM machines.• Project and Technical lead on the implementation and migration of virtual server farms using VMware. This project helped reduce the datacenter cost by 50% per year and speed up the implementation and development of new systems, and overall performance.• Architected an enterprise infrastructure solution to accommodate high storage and bandwidth demand throughout the City of San Diego to help reduce the overall storage cost by 45% per year and to improve capacity, security, and overall performance.• Implemented elegant and easy-to-use network monitoring system to provide detailed reports and allow for proactive monitoring. Led the setup and installation of Adobe Connect Server and configured for Single-Sign-On with SSL security. Managed 99.9% uptime on 100+ servers including enterprise SQL server (physical and VMware). Created technical server and backup specifications for San Diego Geographic Information Source. Created and developed an imaging procedure for servers saving 6 hours per server of setup time.
