Enermet and Ampy Email Metering were brought together into Landis+Gyr. Landis+Gyr moved to the SAP ERP system for the ANZ managed entity in 2011. o Member of the 4-person SAP Core Team responsible for the initial and ongoing design.o Logistics and Production specialist; NZ generalist. SD, S&OP, MM and PP functions. o SAP went live in 2011, and the same system has now been rolled out across Landis+Gyr sites in India, China, Hong Kong and Singapore. Kaizen events to implement Lean & 6S:o Formal implementation of 6S on a production line released over a week of work-in-progress and shrunk the production line by 25%. After bottlenecks were analysed, follow-on interventions increased throughput by 50% to meet increased demand and jigs were added to guide behaviours.o Less formal approach used in warehouse over time to eliminate clutter and optimize inventory placement. Kanban-style pull lists were implemented to move materials in suppliers’ pack quantities directly into the factory immediately prior to consumption.I have consolidated the Load Management factory at Mairangi Bay and the ISO 17025 Gas Lab at Penrose in Auckland. Amalgamation of two disparate competitors into one entity in 2008 and then onto one site in 2013:o Merger of two ERP systems into one.o Integrated Quality and OHS management systems implemented across two sites.o Divestment of non-core business lines.o Complete replacement of staff, equipment and systems for gas meter calibration laboratory.Manager of Projects and Services team, providing pre-sales design, client technical support, transmitter service contracts, including use of spare capacity in Australian staff. On-site with customers to solve challenging issues.Internal Project Manager for in-situ building refurbishment, including:o Continuity of production during on-site and cross-site relocation.o Open-planning of office space. o IT fit out.o Warehouse expansion and conversion to narrow-aisle racking.

Managed the L+G suite of Load Management products from ripple control receivers to AFLC transmitters, including controllers. Worked with customers on Demand Response initiatives such as AS/NZS 4755 DRED.

Internal consultant to Finnish parent company to introduce mass customization of highly configurable products – three visits of two weeks each in 2004, 2005.Outsourced generic electronic assembly processes while maintaining critical final assembly processes in-house, as a test case for the parent company. Production staff headcount was reduced from 25 to 4. Based on this success, outsourcing was repeated by Enermet Oy in Finland. Designed SwitchIT and CycleIT, specialized ripple control products for the Queensland demand response market; 16,000 units sold.Consolidated dual make-to-order manufacturing sites in Brisbane and Auckland to a single Australasian site in Auckland in 2007. COGS and logistics savings of 20%, even after allowing for door-to-door airfreight deliveries for Australian customers. The Auckland factory has produced well over one million RO ripple control receivers with 4 factory staff.
