Enermet and Ampy Email Metering were brought together into Landis+Gyr. Kanban-style pull lists were implemented to move materials in suppliers’ pack quantities directly into the factory immediately prior to consumption.I have consolidated the Load Management factory at Mairangi Bay and the ISO 17025 Gas Lab at Penrose in Auckland. Enermet (Finland) purchased Zellweger (Switzerland). Internal consultant to Finnish parent company to introduce mass customization of highly configurable products – three visits of two weeks each in 2004, 2005.Outsourced generic electronic assembly processes while maintaining critical final assembly processes in-house, as a test case for the parent company. Production staff headcount was reduced from 25 to 4. Based on this success, outsourcing was repeated by Enermet Oy in Finland. Designed SwitchIT and CycleIT, specialized ripple control products for the Queensland demand response market; 16,000 units sold.Consolidated dual make-to-order manufacturing sites in Brisbane and Auckland to a single Australasian site in Auckland in 2007. COGS and logistics savings of 20%, even after allowing for door-to-door airfreight deliveries for Australian customers. The Auckland factory has produced well over one million RO ripple control receivers with 4 factory staff.
