Current• Train, and direct the overall work activities of staff to achieve program standards and to ensure consistent application of DEED program policies and procedures.• Assist with planning, design and management of the PROWD Grant Program within established budgets as so that the targeted customers receive high-quality services ensuring a seamless transition from prison to community• Coordinate program activities with BOP staff, CareerForce partners, education agencies, and community-based organizations to assist Justice Involved Individuals obtain training and employment.• Plan and direct the expansion of services for ex-offenders at all CareerForce Centers • Support the vision, mission, goals and initiatives of the DEED/ DOJ Grant Agreement• Review and evaluate individual work performance of staff • Train staff to ensure they have the knowledge and skills required to provide the best service to customers. • Perform all supervisory tasks in accordance with established Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action, non- harassment, and employee safety policies and procedures. • Plan and supervise the delivery of three DEED programs. • Provide Pre and Post Release workshops in four Federal Correctional Facilities, including vocational training, job placement and retention services provided at two Residential Reentry Centers (RRC’s) and CareerForce Center locations.• Plan and co-facilitate meetings with other state agencies, long-term and new community partners to form a multi-agency working advisory committee. • Regularly communicate with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) local office staff. • Provide written and/or verbal reports to DEED Management, Department of Justice, and Federal Bureau of Prisons. • Monitor budgets and adjust when necessary so programs operate within set budgets. • Meet with CareerForce Center partners and staff from education and community-based organizations to coordinate services for successful transition from prison to community.
