A&M’s Funds Advisory team provides a range of service offerings to both LPs (including LPACs or individual investors) and GPs in situations where there are challenged, distressed or tail-end funds. The team can provide general financial and operational advice or support, create and execute strategies to maximise investor returns in distressed funds, improve operational performance of the portfolio companies, remedy a liquidity crisis of the fund or portfolio companies and assess exit opportunities for LPs.Mark Skelton is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal in London. He brings more than 20 years of experience in fund advisory services, corporate advisory, special situations restructuring and crisis stabilisation.Mr. Skelton advises on a range of fund situations, across various jurisdictions and asset classes, often involving diverse stakeholder groups and disjointed relationships between the LPs and GPs. Mr. Skelton has experience in providing a range of services across the funds sector, from LP / LPAC advisory through to acting as a director of GPs and Fund Managers, generally in situations where there are challenged, distressed or tail-end funds. He has had senior roles and directorships on large-scale UK, US, European, Asian and Australian projects and has worked with clients across a range of industries, including infrastructure, financial services, professional services, automotive, retail, property and telecommunications.Mr. Skelton is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ).
