When the opportunity to work at The Leaven and help at-risk K-5th-graders in low-income neighborhoods, I jumped on board. Never before did I find an organization that had such a great mission; to mentor & tutor at-risk kids within the neighborhoods where they live; and to do so with such amazing results - 100% of the children show significant improvement in literacy and math.
