For most of my career, I have gravitated toward solving mission-driven problems. I am currently the Director of Product Management and Design at Purple Carrot, where we want to deliver simple, healthy, flexible plant-based meals to your home each week. I have always been fascinated by product development, market fit, research, human behavior, experience design, tech-enabled services, and delivering a stellar customer experience. I manage a talented team of product managers and design in my role. One of my standout strengths is bridging the gap between design, engineering, and business objectives. My #1 design principle is always to take a holistic approach to product design, ensuring that products are visually stunning and address real user needs while aligning with broader company goals.

I was the Lead Product Designer responsible for building the new Onboarding Experience of our core SaaS application. This complicated Onboarding used geo-location data to help match IntelyCare's health partners into a smooth and seamless self-serve experience. As IntelyCare expanded, the rules and function of this flow grew more complex, allowing me to delve into services such as schedule logic to help align customers' use cases as a match to our platform. There was a great deal of customer research I ran each week, as the use cases spanned across our partners. I took the lead on user research, customer insights, data-backed design solutions, and UX design. In addition to core responsibilities as the sole designer, I was writing requirements and grooming user stories with my engineering team each week. As a result, our application onboarded 25+ new healthcare partners, allowing IntelyCare to expand its offerings across the Nurse Staffing Industry!

Pearson Education provides end-to-end education solutions in the K-12 segment through text books and technology.I worked within the UX group for the Pearson Technology K-12 School Group. As a UX designer I helped solve cross-disciplinary design challenges and create elegant solutions to complex workflows with creativity, efficiency and precision. Built spec documents that define functionality, content, navigation, and interaction models through wireframes, sitemaps, process flowcharts, page description diagrams and other documentation. Sketched and present UI concepts, including visual design, interactive behaviors, with task/workflows, or simple working prototypes. Performed on-the-spot (as well as detailed) reviews of functionality and visual look & feel of implemented screens against design comps and functional specs. Shared insights throughout the entire product design cycle, including the ideation/planning, development, and post-deployment stages.

Chapter designer. As a chapter designer I collaborated with editorial team, managers, art department, and photo research; brainstorm visually engaging ideas that help promote the standards of each book. I've created layouts that carry the look and feel of the project for text book and online use; using charts, graphs, infographics, photos, textures, and illustrations. By maintaining the program vision and meeting production dates, I utilize my technical skills to execute my knowledge of design effectively.

Executed edits, layouts, text, and images within creative school division department. I built layouts, diversifying grades and subject, keeping consistency amongst the school division. Prepared files for print.

Worked within creative department under direction of the Design Manager, synthesized feedback from numerous sources to attain approval and satisfy concept. Edited and updated current corporate collateral piece. Created several Ads, Posters, Promotions, and Inserts for financial and marketing departments.

Produced pocket folders, brochures, logos, banners, invitations, and mailers for various clients. Met with clients to discuss concepts, design elements; completed urgent projects in one hour.
