Hammerton Caribbean specialises in the rental of luxury villa and apartment accommodation in Barbados, the most popular Caribbean island destination for UK holidaymakers and somewhere I know well and stay often. Having run much larger travel businesses in the past, it is a real pleasure to know the destination and each of the properties we offer so well and to have personal contact with so many of our clients. We aim to provide the highest possible level of personalised client service, supported by one of the most informative and user-friendly websites in the market. To-date, the formula seems to be working - and well beyond our initial expectations. Prior to Hammerton Caribbean Ltd, I worked for nearly 30 years in the UK and Dutch camping holiday markets, originally as a Director within Holidaybreak and later running my own camping-oriented travel and publishing business. I founded Mark Hammerton Group Ltd in 1999, which, through acquisition and organic growth, developed into one of the most successful and well-known specialist travel and travel publishing companies in the UK. With offices in the UK and in The Netherlands, the company's brands included the market-leading Alan Rogers campsite guide. Having sold the business to The Caravan Club in October 2012, I provided consultancy through The Camping Business Ltd but after a couple of rather frustrating years, decided the time was right for a new challenge and Hammerton Caribbean was born.
