• Take an active role in operations and planning with the LUX, Majorana Demonstrator, CUBED, and Berkeley LBC collaborations to fulfill long-term research goals.

Soudan Underground Laboratory

• Monitored, maintained, and repaired electronic, cryogenic, and vacuum systems for CDMS and CoGeNT dark matter projects.
• Monitored and maintained cryogenic systems and managed sample handling for Gopher and SOLO low-background counting projects.
• Performed daily data check on MINOS neutrino oscillation detector, troubleshot and repaired/replaced electronic components.
• Monitored and adjusted cryogenic gas usage for multiple projects, ordered and replaced cryogenic supply, and repaired cryogenic and vacuum line connections and gas liquefiers.
• Worked extensively with liquid helium, nitrogen, and argon as well as compressed helium, nitrogen, argon, and carbon dioxide.
• Performed computer maintenance for all project computers (Windows and Linux).

• Research focus: Water shield photomultiplier tube characterization and muon flux measurement for the LUX dark matter search
• Proposed, designed, and carried out experiments to understand and characterize photomultiplier tube response to various signals.
• Studied techniques used by groups doing similar research by reading and understanding published and unpublished papers.
• Determined the most efficient method for data analysis, wrote software to carry out the analysis, and interpreted the results of the software.
• Performed troubleshooting on any problems that arose in equipment, software, or mathematical analysis.
• Worked at LUX facility at Sanford Laboratory on various projects as requested.

• Worked way up from internet technician to senior technician, then supervisor.
• Proposed, designed, and implemented a series of mathematical algorithms to monitor technician efficiency, customer satisfaction, state of business partners' network infrastructure, and quality assurance.

• Research focus: Determining an accurate 6mm beam profile on a helical IMRT
• Designed and carried out experiments using TomoTherapy HI-ART and Varian linear particle accelerators to determine radiation profiles.

• Research focus: Theoretical study and computational simulations of carbon nanotube percolation systems
