The Officers training course which offers logistics officers the opportunity to specialise within their branch and gain an air movements qualification. This course gives logistics officers a new range of skills ranging from being qualified to ship and receive dangerous goods, load and restrain cargo to strategic air transport aircraft, as well as trim numerous aircraft types and complete all management checks necessary on aircraft paperwork on numerous different air frames. Successful completion will enable them to then undertake practical air movements roles such as Duty Air Movements officer on a station or out of area or run a station Movements Support Flight. Upon successful completion of this training the officer will be specialised as an air movements logistics officer, giving them a greater understanding of how global logistics and RAF aircraft impact supply chain management for UK defence.
