Designed, automated, and maintained multiple Hadoop clusters, Kafka clusters, Zookeeper clusters, MongoDB clusters, NIFI clusters, and Airflow clusters. Also maintain multi-user BigData Analytics environments using Jupyterhub, Zeppelin, Python, R, and Spark. Using Terraform/Chef to automate the infrastructure/services on AWS/Server. Bamboo for build and deployment of custom build applications and BigData systems configuration (CI/CD pipelines). Using Bitbucket for repo and version control. Using S3 and HDFS for storage for Data Science to run analytic against it. Maintain PCI environment and help building out mobile application. I had written many Chef cookbooks to build these clusters. Also using Bamboo to do the deployment for configuration change and software release for the applications. Using Sensu/New Relic to proactively monitors and alerts the systems and services. And also using New Relic for performance checking. Building PYPI server with Docker and containers.

I had helped the company to transform from Windows shop to Linux shop using Kickstart to do servers provisioning, install/configure PBIS to authenticate against AD, written some scripts to automate build process. Using Github for version control and Jenkins for software release deployment (CI/CD). Most proud project was building a stack to run online real estate transaction and MongoDB cluster. The stack was build on private cloud.

As an engineer, I am completely in charge of the servers plus managing the DNS, and DNS API servers. I also do application deployment weekly and servers patch monthly. My typical day of work can be from patching the servers and deploying the applications at the same time. Fixing a Zone file for DNS, creating DNS records. Mitigating a DNS traffic attack, monitoring system performance. Writing script to auto deployment or setting up monitory/alert jobs to catch error in the application log or server log. Run SQL query to get domain information or run update to change data in the record. I can go on with many more things that not much different from my previous job but what special about this job is that I specialize in Red Hat/CentOS, DNS, DNS API. This will give me a chance to focus more on Linux server, Automate deployment, Monitory, DNS API, Apache, Cluster.
