Our mission statement is Life Without Limitations, through applying the principles of Design Thinking, to innovate new orthopedic bracing and support devices. The goal is to improve increased mobility and comfort during patient injury rehabilitation - and return to activity. My role as lead designer is to create user-friendly functional solutions, that will give Ossur a competitive edge in a very price-driven global medical market. Projects completed to date include; lumbar supports, cervical collars, shoulder elbow and knee braces. I am also responsible for CAD modeling, Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing liaison.

As Design Manager for the Global Design Team in Atlanta, I managed the industrial design, engineering and manufacturing optimization, of a highly innovative retail display system for Latin American markets. I coordinated with teams in South Africa, Brazil with production facilities in Argentina & China. Later, I worked in the North American IMC Design Group, where I joined a team dedicated to designing concepts for new equipment, packaging, POP display systems and environmental installations. Brands worked on included: Sprite, Coca-Cola Freestyle, Glaceau Vitamin Water. Partner design programs included: Universal Studios, Kroger, SeaWorld and LA Live

Warwickshire, England, United Kingdom

Interim Design Manager of Lifestyle Design, based in Jaguar Land Rover's (JLR) incredible design studios in Britain's Warwickshire vehicle R&D campus. Here I managed a dedicated team of designers and coordinated projects between the marketing team, brand leaders and design executives for both automotive brands. The role also required developing a design process and system to leverage creative efficiency, but also provide a road map for timeline logistics and design resource planning. This was successfully achieved by partnering with brand leaders for product planning and marketing strategy. During my time with the company we developed many ranges of luxury luggage, clothing and fashion lifestyle accessories, that were successfully launched to the public in 2012. Other aspects to my role required the creative direction and approval of graphics and packaging, video game vehicle content, and licensees worldwide.

A career Nirvana considering Nike is the world's greatest sports brand, whose products also enjoy similar brand recognition for innovation and inventive industrial design. My lead role in golf club equipment involved market research, conceptual design, 3D CAD development, product graphics and liaison with engineering, rapid prototyping, testing and manufacturing. Projects required working closely with sales and marketing, brand image teams, athletes and outside technology research specialists.

I originally approached Cleveland Golf with a view to providing ID consulting services, but was ultimately offered a permanent staff design role. This turned out to be one of the best career moves because I rekindled a passion for golf, and was trained in Unigraphics NX4 3D modeling software and Objet digital printing equipment. Working within the R&D department, as part of an intergrated team of mechanical engineering and industrial design I collaborated on the design for various golf products and accessories and in particular was focussed on blade, mallet and geometric putters. Most notable being the VP 109 and VP 509 putters.

San Dimas, California

I worked with Magellan's marketing leadership, to develop outdoor wearable GPS sports devices. I assisted with product planning, consumer research, competitive product testing, industrial design team selection and oversight plus UI/UX design. This short term contract also required overseas travel to Asia Pacific for design engineering and manufacturing collaboration.

Hermosa Beach, California, United States

Responsible for corporate design strategy and implementation for Gibson Labs, the firm's internal technology and innovation think tank based in Los Angeles. We were the hardware division working in tandem with software in Mountain View, Silicon Valley. Projects included live sound reinforcement and amplification equipment - in addition to some electric guitar interface and consumer electronics programs under the Wurlitzer brand.

Led all aspects of industrial design both within Alesis and outside contractors. Worked directly with the VP engineering and CEO to develop leading edge breakthrough products. Projects included the design of power amplifiers, signal processors, keyboards and synthesizers, speaker and digital effects processors. Helped steer the company toward a recognizable brand identity through applying a consistent design DNA across the various product categories. Most notable products included the unique, Alesis AirFX. A infra-red 3D beam sound effects generator and controller, that also won the Business Week IDSA award for design in 2000.

Munich, Bavaria, Germany

Responsible for coordinating planning, design and development of vehicle and lifestyle accessories. specifically for the Z3 roadster, Mini Cooper and also the Rover MGF. The first year was spent at the company's R&D facilities in Munich before transferring to the UK to work with the Rover Group following BMW's acquisition. From concept sketch to final production, this role also required manufacturing liaison with Tier 1 and 2 OEM suppliers worldwide.

Designed, managed and created a variety of product lines for a wide range of clients, including Harman/Kardon, JBL, Infinity, Concord, Diamond Back, Alesis and Magellan. Most of the projects were consumer electronics. My day to day responsibilities required both designing and project management.
