Successfully executed loan due diligence for the purchase of a $500M commercial bank. Consistently exceeded expectations while reducing classified assets by $70M (down to $9M) over an eight-year span while producing no quarterly losses. Managed the absorption of a purchased $350M loan portfolio and reduced the classified asset to pre-acquisition levels within three years. Transitioned credit administration function from reactive to proactive. Led the bank in its recovery from the Great Recession while instilling confidence in commercial lending and underwriting to grow the loan portfolio. Oversaw the continuity of loan underwriting methodology for all products and services sold. Utilized subject matter expertise pertaining to commercial lending and underwriting to develop commercial, real estate lending, and appraisal training curriculum for clients. Generated new lending policies for Corporate Banking and Business Banking functions (for what was the fifth largest bank in the United States). Led loan review projects, defined process improvements and examined discovery for clients. Wrote detailed and comprehensive lending sections of a policy and procedural manual product.
