Developed and executed a plan to onboard a new Colombia-based Launch Operations team:- Collaborated with engineering teams to document processes and establish a repeatable onboarding program comprising of 16 modules covering the main areas of the platform.- Assisted in the recruitment process for new team members by refining the recruitment process, conducting interviews, providing feedback and facilitating go/no-go meetings which resulted in 19 new configuration engineers being recruited in two waves.- Analysed and prioritised onboarding tasks based on upcoming client deployments, focusing on high-value projects to ensure new teams would be focusing on the most important customer deployments.

Contributed to strategic corporate planning, influencing key decisions in both annual and quarterly cycles, ensuring preparation work took place and that we ended the sessions with a durable plan agreeable to the operations group. Streamlined meeting protocols for engineering leadership, significantly boosting productivity and meeting effectiveness by removing unnecessary meetings, creating terms of reference, ensuring meetings had facilitators, goals and purposes to keep them efficient. Led interim management for a Field Operations team, enhancing operational coordination across multiple regions, coaching team members to improve morale and performance and getting the team to a good place for handover to their permanent manager once onboarded.

Responsible for an engineering tribe consisting of around 30 individuals including engineering managers, backend and frontend developers and QA, directly line managing the senior engineering managers whilst collaborating with stakeholders inside and outside of core engineering.Managed a dynamic team reorganisation, ensuring seamless transitions and sustained team performance during a period of intense change in the organisation.Mobilised a behaviour based interview process, markedly increasing the hiring pace and ensuring a high-quality candidate experience, overseeing more than 180 interviews. Instrumental in the establishment of a remote tech hub in Cluj, Romania, fostering cross-regional team cohesion between locations and encouraging on-site and remote collaboration to ensure successful integration into the wider engineering division. Demonstrated strong leadership and management of an outsourced team in Estonia, effectively addressing concerns about technical debt and improving team organisation and efficiency. Played a pivotal role in budget management, introducing new cost centres and simplifying the budget process for the engineering division including decentralisation for more effective ownership and decision making. Led engineering input into annual R&D tax credit submissions, effectively coordinating data collection and inter-departmental collaboration resulting in multi-million pound rebates from the UK government.

Direct line management of around 20 individuals comprising backend and frontend developers, configuration engineers and QA, spread across 3 development and 1 operational team. Orchestrated regular successful Hack Days, championing innovation and driving relevant initiatives from concept to market-ready.

In February 2016 I became a Software Engineering Manager, leading a team of around 15 developers and QA testers.

I joined Fourth Ltd as a Senior Developer in November 2014, working on their legacy Classic ASP People System. From April 2015 I have performed in the role of Scrum Master for the team, which consisted of around 15 developers and testers. As ScrumMaster I coached the team in agile scrum best practices, worked with stakeholders to remove impediments, improved product quality by inspecting and adapting processes, and ensured the various Scrum ceremonies take place.

I joined MyTimeMedia Ltd as their first in-house Web Developer in 2008, tasked with designing and building new platforms to run frontend and backend CMS systems for managing their growing number of community and e-commerce websites. As the team grew my role became Head of Web Development where I had responsibilities for managing a small team of in-house and contract developers and web/UX designers.

I joined MPG as their first in-house Web Programmer in 2003, becoming Online Development Manager in 2004. My responsibilities included line managing a small team of in-house and contract web developers, developing their suite of e-commerce and content websites, and project managing new work to ensure it is completed on time and within budget.
