My background was not originally construction (actually media)! But understanding how new build works was no different to extracting a set of needs and wants for any other business. I major on problem solving; devise a sensibly structured process and make its benefits compelling and absolute. Consumer expectations continue to rise so the ability for any developer to comprehensively handle the Builder’s Liability Period has become ever more critical. After Build recognise this and through a combination of clever system and trained resource we work with an expanding client base to manage their warranty obligations.

My specific contribution to business development is systems design and the implementation of structured processes. While what we do isn't rocket science, the need to capture a vast amount of information and organise it in a commercially useful way has been paramount to offering our service. There is little available in the new build/construction sector and when we launched After Build we decided to build our own database and system platform. This has been a 10 year evolution and the amount of data we have collected is most probably unparalleled across the sector.
