I’m a Bristol, UK based product specialist who ensures products and services are successful for consumers and business by understanding their needs, their networks, the things they use and bringing these into product definition. I merge behavioural science, systems-thinking and design along with a lot of experience, and I use evidence to support design decisions, as well as inspiration. At the centre of a successful product (or service) is an understanding of their users. Whilst the design of successful products tends to go with, rather than against the grain of a consumer's behaviour they also reflect many other factors such as local and global societal change, cultural norms or regulatory pressures. Better business decisions are made when the needs of all the people who provide and consume products are considered - an asymmetric product doesn't balance the potential value to its customers with delivery-feasibility or bottom-line business value.
